SoriVibe operates an online marketplace that connects African creators with brands and agencies for paid creative work, collaborations and related services.

This policy applies to visitors, registered creators, brands, and anyone who contacts us through forms, email or other channels. It does not apply to third-party websites or services that you reach through links on our platform; those sites have their own policies.

Information we collect

We collect information in three broad ways: what you give us, what is generated through your use of the service, and what we receive from partners where permitted.

You may choose not to provide certain information, but that may limit your ability to register, post briefs, apply to projects or use some features.

• Identity and contact data: name, email, phone (if provided), country, language preferences
• Account data: password (stored in hashed form when authentication is enabled), role (creator or brand), subscription tier
• Profile and portfolio data: bio, skills, rates, images, videos, links and work samples you upload
• Project data: briefs, budgets, applications, messages and files shared in connection with opportunities
• Payment-related data: billing details and transaction records when payment features are live (processed by payment partners where applicable)
• Technical data: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referral URLs, timestamps and log data
• Communications: support requests, careers applications, contact form submissions and survey responses
• Cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy

How we use information

We use personal information only where we have a lawful basis under applicable law, such as performance of a contract, legitimate interests, consent, or legal obligation.

We do not use your private messages or unpublished drafts to train public AI models without clear disclosure and consent where required.

• Create and manage accounts; authenticate users and prevent fraud
• Display creator profiles and project listings to other users as part of the marketplace
• Facilitate introductions, applications and (when available) messaging between parties
• Process subscriptions, invoices and payouts through third-party providers
• Send transactional emails, security alerts and service announcements
• Provide customer support and respond to legal requests
• Analyse aggregated or de-identified usage to improve design, performance and safety
• Enforce our Terms of Service and protect the rights, property and safety of users and the public

Legal bases (where applicable)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom or similar jurisdictions, we rely on grounds such as: contract (providing the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement — balanced against your rights), consent (e.g. optional marketing or non-essential cookies), and legal obligation (tax, anti-fraud or court orders).

You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. We share data only as described below or with your direction.

When you apply to a brief or contact a creator, relevant profile and message content is shared with the other party so the project can be evaluated. You control much of what appears on a public profile.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to protect SoriVibe, our users or others from harm or illegal activity.

• Infrastructure and hosting providers
• Email, customer support and CRM tools
• Analytics and error-monitoring services (often with IP truncation or aggregation)
• Payment processors and identity verification partners (when enabled)
• Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants) under confidentiality duties
• Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition or asset sale, subject to this policy

International transfers

SoriVibe may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms for cross-border transfers.

Retention & security

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with legal retention periods.

When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it in accordance with our retention schedules, subject to backups and legal holds.

We implement administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices & rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link. You may still receive essential service communications.

Children

SoriVibe is not directed at children under 18 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

Information on this site and in profiles is supplied by users. SoriVibe does not verify every statement, credential or portfolio item and is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness or legality of user-provided content.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SoriVibe is not liable for any loss, harm or dispute arising from how other users handle your personal information off-platform, from unauthorised access despite reasonable safeguards, or from your decision to share contact details or work product with third parties.
